Which apps does this policy cover?
This single policy applies to all mobile applications published on Google Play by Calendar Panchang & Horoscope Maker — our calendar, panchang, horoscope, kundali and temple apps in every language we publish, including Hindi, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, English and any other language edition, and including any new app we publish later. In this policy they are called "the app" or "our apps".
Please note: our apps do not all have the same features. A section below applies to you only if the app you are using actually offers that feature. If your app has no AI assistant, for example, then the AI section does not apply to you.
This policy explains what information our apps use, where that information goes, and what choices you have. Please read it before using the app. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the app.
1. Short summary
- Your name, date of birth, birth time, kundali, reminders, notes and settings stay on your phone. We never upload them. We do not run a server that stores them.
- Your location, if you allow it, is used to show the correct panchang, sunrise, sunset and puja timings for your place. Your coordinates are sent to a map service only to find your city name, and to measure distance to temples.
- If the app has an AI astrology assistant, the question you type is sent to an AI service so that an answer can be written.
- Our free apps show ads through Google AdMob, which uses your advertising ID.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information our apps use
(a) Location — approximate and precise
Applies where the app asks for the location permission.
If you allow the location permission, the app reads your device location to calculate the correct sunrise, sunset, tithi, nakshatra, rahu kaal and daily puja time for your place, and — where the app lists temples — to show how far they are from you.
Your latitude and longitude may be sent to these services:
- Photon by Komoot (photon.komoot.io) — to turn your coordinates into a city name, and to search for a place when you type a city name.
- OSRM (router.project-osrm.org) — to calculate the road distance from you to a temple.
We do not store your location on any server of ours, because we do not run one. Your chosen place is saved only on your phone. This is optional: you may refuse the location permission and type your city by hand instead. The app works fully either way.
(b) AI astrology assistant
Applies only where the app has an AI astrology / AI Jyotish feature.
When you use it, the question you type is sent — together with astrological details calculated from your birth entry, such as your moon sign (rashi), nakshatra and lagna — to an AI service (Pollinations, text.pollinations.ai), which writes the answer and sends it back. Your name, date of birth and birth time are not sent.
Please do not type private, financial, medical or otherwise sensitive information into that box. The feature is optional and the rest of the app works without it.
(c) Advertising
Applies to our free, ad-supported apps.
Ads are supplied by Google AdMob. To do this, Google collects your device advertising ID, information about how you use the app, and app diagnostic and crash information. Google uses it to select and measure ads and to prevent fraud, and may share it with its advertising partners. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice later in the app's settings.
Where the app sells a premium subscription, buying it removes the ads.
(d) Subscriptions and payments
Applies where the app offers a premium subscription or purchase.
Purchases are sold and processed by Google Play Billing. We never see, receive or store your card, UPI or bank details. The app only checks with Google Play whether your subscription is currently active, so that it knows whether to hide the ads and unlock premium features.
(e) Information that stays only on your phone
The following is saved inside the app on your own device and is never uploaded to us or to anyone else:
- Your name, date of birth, birth time and birth place
- Your kundali, horoscope results and saved readings
- Your chosen city, reminder time, notification settings and app preferences
- Your japa counts, notes and favourites
If you uninstall the app, or clear the app's data in Android Settings, all of it is deleted permanently.
(f) What our apps do NOT collect
Our apps do not read your photos, camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, SMS, files or web browsing history, and do not ask you to create an account or give an email address or phone number.
3. Permissions and why they are asked for
An app asks only for the permissions its own features need; not every app asks for all of these.

You can withdraw any permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → the app → Permissions.
4. Who receives information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for any purpose other than running the features described above. The services that may receive information are:
- Google AdMob — advertising. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing — subscriptions and purchases. Google Privacy Policy
- Komoot / Photon — turning coordinates into a city name. Komoot Privacy Policy
- OSRM — road distance to a temple.
- Pollinations — writing the AI astrology answer.
Some of our apps also open links to other websites and apps at your request — for example Google Play, Google Maps, YouTube or WhatsApp. When you tap such a link you leave our app, and the privacy policy of that other service then applies. We do not send your personal information along with those links.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Security
Everything our apps send travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the app's own content and data files are stored in encrypted form inside the app. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. How long information is kept, and how to delete it
We do not keep your personal information on any server of ours. Everything personal stays on your own phone for as long as you keep the app installed.
To delete it: open Android Settings → Apps → the app → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. Either one removes all of it permanently.

7. Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please write to us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices
- Refuse or withdraw the location permission and type your city by hand instead.
- Turn reminders off in the app's settings, or turn notifications off in Android Settings.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Change your ads consent choice in the app's settings, where that choice applies to you.
- Buy the premium subscription, where offered, to remove ads.
- Simply do not use the AI feature, if you prefer that nothing is sent to the AI service.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will always be shown on this page with a new "Last updated" date at the top. Please check it now and then.
